Ian Guest

Ian started playing the piano when he was five years old and was influenced by his dad Howard Guest who also played the piano and built his own guitar and played the clarinet.

Ian has passed his exams up to and including Grade 8 with the ABRSM and can also teach music theory up to Grade 5 level.

When he was younger he played the violin and played in the Junior Musicmakers Orchestra in Sheffield.

He has also played on the stage and entertained in different genres with Funksoulvation, Landslide Country band and more recently in a reggae band in Croydon to name a few and also played background music at wedding receptions.

Ian has a friendly and engaging personality who gets the best out of students he teaches and immediately makes them feel at ease.

He is fully DBS checked and has public liability insurance for your peace of mind and is a member of EPTA-UK.org
